Are you in the market for a new luxury SUV? You should consider the 2023 Mercedes-Benz GLC.
The Mercedes-Benz GLC enters a new generation for the 2023 model year, just like the C-Class. The two models are similar in many ways. The brand-new GLC looks just the same as the model it's replacing. But the popular new version of the small luxury SUV is a little bit bigger, has a completely new interior, and comes with a turbocharged mild-hybrid engine as standard.
This vehicle is now available at Mercedes-Benz of Fredericksburg in Fredericksburg, VA. Contact the team to schedule a test drive.
You'll see significant upgrades in the new GLC’s interior, despite looking like the outgoing model from the outside. Mercedes has always made some of the nicest interiors in the business, and the GLC’s cabin is no exception.
The new GLC seamlessly blends state-of-the-art technology with an opulent interior. The massive MBUX infotainment system integrates well with the center console. Another standard feature is a digital gauge cluster.
For a compact SUV, the GLC's seating capacity is quite roomy. The interior measurements show that it maintains the old GLC's spacious front seats and roomy back seats. The old model is known for having adult-friendly seats.
The new GLC has a cargo space of 21.9 cubic feet behind the back seats. It's 2.5 cubic feet bigger than the storage area of the old model.
It's perfectly fine if you didn't notice a significant visual difference between the 2023 Mercedes-Benz GLC and the 2022 model it's replacing. The two vehicles look the same at first glance.
Looking closely, however, the 2023 model is much sleeker and more contemporary-looking. The new SUV is also bigger, hence the larger interior.
The AMG® appearance package gives a sporty look to the new GLC. It has a distinctive grille, fewer chrome elements, 19-inch wheels with staggered tires, and sportier front and back fascia. It also adds extra decorative options, including body-colored wheel arches and special wheels.
Despite being a couple of inches longer, the GLC is still in line with the other members of the small luxury SUV class. It's in the middle of the GLB and the GLE in the Mercedes-Benz SUV lineup.
Below are the available colors for the 2023 GLC.
Under the hood of the 2023 GLC is a 2.0-liter mild hybrid inline-4 engine with 258 horsepower and 295 pound-feet of torque. The 48-volt mild-hybrid system helps in improving engine performance and efficiency. The new GLC outperforms its predecessor thanks to EQ Boost technology.
A nine-speed automatic transmission sends power to the wheels of the GLC. Rear-wheel drive is standard, and a 4Matic® all-wheel-drive system is optional.
Mercedes-Benz says it is working on a plug-in hybrid version of the GLC, but it's unclear when the German company will add it to its lineup.
